I don’t think that POC have the time and patience to list out all of the “good allies” and they shouldn’t have to. if you’re not racist, she’s not talking about you. The legacy of racism/bigotry both yesterday and today is a shared mutually destructive force around the globe. The racism and bigotry in the middle east, in the Asian world, in Africa and in South America is a horrible thing to behold.

Hate to tell you, but in areas of naturally darker skin tone...the preference for lighter tones goes much farther back in history than when white colonialism hit them.

I mean, that’s kind of true. However much of the racism we see in the world today is a product of white colonialism. Preference for lighter skinned people in Asia, Africa, Central and Southern America have direct ties to the influence of European influences as they colonized those places.
