Yes, it’s the same people. They generally don’t take much interest in the facts of what is the most effective way to deal with the problems we face. Pipelines are the safest and most environmentally friendly way to transport the oil that the US NEEDS so focus on reducing the need.

I work in the renewables industry, I make an actual tangible effort to work towards a world which isn’t environmentally destroyed. But until we are at 100% renewables we should be using gas as much as possible and until then we will be burning oil and that oil should be transported by the least environmentally…

I wouldn’t be supportive of this “victory” pipelines only supply a need and they are safer and cleaner than rail transport. The land wasn’t sacred until they wanted to build the pipeline.
