I know someone whose nine-year-old daughter is dying a slow, agonizing death from DIPG, which is truly the worst (a childhood brain cancer that has a 0% survival rate but gets little funding because it’s rare — only about 200 new cases per year). She was diagnosed at seven. As the illness progresses, you lose all your

Seriously — you think Simmons wasn’t in on this? It was an orchestrated late-show act, just like the “feud” between Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon. Simmons was a show biz pro — it’s actually pretty condescending to be all “Poor Richard!” about this very, very, VERY obvious act.

Take my wife — please!

There is no bear (market) statue in the financial district in NYC. Just the charging bull.

Finance bros are just as bad in New York. Also, many of them are achingly anti-intellectual. I once worked with a guy who proudly said that reading a whole book would be the worst thing he could imagine doing with his time (all he cared about was charting and sports).

Sheesh, it kinda sounds like you and I should date! ;)

I’d love to live on a deserted island or out in a forest in the middle of nowhere, but I like grocery delivery and high-speed internet too much. :)

I’m 44 and I went totally freelance/work-from-home a couple of years ago. I’ve typically been a social introvert — an introvert at heart, and someone who needs a lot of alone time, but also a person with a lot of friends and a pretty active social life.

Oh, come on — that was a long-running bit the two of them did! Simmons was totally in on it, and he went on the show multiple times!

Yeah, but that’s honestly such a load of crap, because the publicist would be very unlikely to give out info like that, even off the record. The whole thing is just bizarre, and I wonder what effect this latest bit of news will have on how the podcast plays out from here?

Yeah, it just seems that Taberski would *probably* have at least tried to get the Ok from Simmons before launching this potentially creepy/stalkerish podcast, especially given their past relationship. And if we end up with absolutely no payoff, then the whole exercise is going to be rather pointless. Plus, he’s making

Because the podcast creator is a friend and associate, I’ve been thinking maybe Simmons is involved behind the scenes and will end up reemerging at the end of the podcast, even if it’s just for a brief moment in time. This could just be the greatest PR stunt ever!

So what was the actual clearly defined GOAL of the women’s strike? What did it hope to accomplish? I think that’s one of the issues here — the actual goals are not clearly defined, as they most definitely were during the civil rights movement.

Thank you for this — so very true. The problem with some — not ALL — of the protests at the moment is that they are so wide in scope it isn’t clear what they are hoping to accomplish.

Ha, What’s My Age is a joke, but it is true that Lorde looks and sounds way, WAYYY more mature than the average 20 year old. This doesn’t mean she won’t age well, though. Perhaps she’ll just look exactly the same well into her 40s!

This one sounds very Tori, which isn’t a bad thing, but the influence is certainly very apparent.

Then, to be fair, it’s not exactly a sacrifice on your part. It’s just a nice paid day off.

Because that’s what they did, quoted her exactly. That’s a neutral thing to do. To excise words is to change the quote. That isn’t responsible journalism or even quoting.

Also, all of these folks make it *wayyy* past the 27 club.

What’s your argument behind calling Casey Affleck a rapist and then saying, “Who cares, this is just a gossip site, I can say what I want, what’s slander/libel, anyhow?”
