I regularly have LAN games with my neighbors and family. We mostly play stuff like total war, COD2 and Age of empires 2. We usually split up into 2 or 3 groups and have at it.

The problem i have with consoles is that they cost €200 - €300 and do pretty much nothing but play games and some media files and movies.

On Windows Superbar I have : Windows Explorer, Windows Live Messenger, Google Chrome, Steam, Minecraft, iTunes, Thunderbird, SciTE Text Editor. Visual Studio 2010 pro, Virtual box, Hamachi, MS Word, Photoshop CS5, Dreamweaver and Firefox
Me and a few other actually made a prototype of that for a HCI project last semester where we had to come up with idea to improve a piece of software. The one we made was fairly simple but after using it for a week of browsing i can honestly say I wouldn't like to have my address bar in my tab in my main browser.
Same here. By the time a season of a show starts here the next season is starting in america and there are spoilers all over the internet. + we have have no streaming services either
I just bought an ssd - 32gb for a boot drive. I have another 2TB of storage between my other drives so i'm not worrying about storage, and i never really use the windows user folders anyway.(though i think you can move them..)
Something with a 5:4 screen would be better fitted to Writing. The long battery life and back light keyboard would be nice though. Of course then theres the price..
I think that would just be annoying. Not to mention the dramatic effect that sand would have on your computer internals
I was taught with Java. Its a nice enough language to get you into the swing of things, especially for grasping the Object Oriented Stuff.
In all honesty I haven't liked Intel for the last while, too many socket types and such that I can't be bothered with.
@GM_Pax: I have a Coolermaster case like that, heat has never been problem with it and its dead silent.
An FPS on console is laughable anyway :p not that theres anything wrong with consoles overall, but i like using a mouse for aiming
