I think the big arguments (for Wade) are these:
Well, let’s also not forget that Strauss gets Arthur particularly riled up about this debtor, and the incident in Valentine when he pulls Arthur off the big brute who threw him through the bar window.
While I agree that they could have put in an option to not beat the shit out of the farmer, I would stop short of giving Arthur the option to pay out of pocket for the debt.
I think people are looking at this from a “hindsight is 20-20" perspective.
I also skew towards the immersion side of things. In that respect, my late game Arthur’s look has changed as he has accumulated things throughout the play through.
“Whadda ya mean, I thought the promo was for EVERYONE who was at the game!” - Phil Kessel, today at McDonalds, probably.
He already has 2 seasons as a full time starter of sub .200 batting averages. One of those seasons happened the year after he finished 3rd for the AL MVP.
Is there really room for a 3rd Roughriders team in the CFL?
Muffet McGraw? Amazing name.
How fucking old is The Joker? Does he own a time machine? Cryogenics? Does he age backwards like Benjamin Button?
It’s kind of what makes him a great 4th or 5th starter on a strong team. He shoots well in the right circumstances, plays D, and doesn’t need (or even justify) having the ball much. He contributes without disrupting team chemistry and can go off every now and again.
There are so many weird little things in baseball that seem designed to kill the players. The raised bases, the rubber plate that you have to step on in cleats to score. I'm surprised this kind of thing doesn't happen more often.
Dude it was just his lunch! The opportunity was just too much to pass up!
Dummy. +1
The whole article can be boiled down to this statement - “If my boss screamed at me and had to be physically restrained, she’d be disciplined or potentially even fired.”
It’s too bad Izzo never got the chance to coach Latrell Spreewell.
This 1000% - If anything, all of their assignments would have been outsourced (which has been a not even that expensive thing to do for years).
Still dosen’t justify the beating of a kid 5 years his jr. That’s drastically crossing the unwritten rules of the schoolyard.
That, or his dad beat him relentlessly!
