I am a nobody, watch this when someone who actually knows a lot talks about it. The thing you are not seeing is my first point, today racing is irrelevant to develop road cars.

Mercedes is spending between 250 to 3400 million per season so a lot of money for tech they have no use for

Ok you post this, but then you complain about Elon Musk just posting FUCK jokes on Twitter. You do know you can’t have it both ways.

You capitalist pig you don’t get how awesome is the lada! So Brooklyn hipster BS. The Lada is BS and it was crap since the beginning (yes I have rode in one)... stop your romanticism for strange cars and accept that is terrible. If you want a basic 4x4 pick a Suzki...

They should have made an Alfa Spyder, an aluminum GT car, they had everything to make that their halo. Also people forget the story of the 4C, it became a hardcore car because they had the task to develop a 50K Euro sports car, so they decided to develop a carbon fiber chassis (Something not done by Porsche) and when

Here is why Alfa failed:

Are you European? I suggest you look in youtube the interviews about Tesla with Sandy Munro. When you understand the technology and not repeat talking points of old journalists then you will understand how what Tesla is doing is so advanced that not even the VW group will all their money could catch up with their 2017

You are right, the problem is that top racing requires a lot of money, and you are asking companies to spend a lot of money on it without getting anything in return.

F1 watcher since I was 2 y/o, I’m now 40 so yeah long time. Thanks Dad. And I must say that F1 has no reason for existing as it serves no purpose, so it might not be electric because it might be dead or reduced to what it was in the 60s, small teams running around Europe in obsolete hand made cars.

Free Hong Kong!

really? I didn’t know that, i know Teslas inflate the tires to 41 PSI but didn’t know they were custom made for them

Another issue is that they outsourced the battery tech instead of making their own, that according to Sandy Munro is what accounts for the gap with Tesla

These SUVs were very elegant and looked very sharp, now I want to throw up

It might be their only choice, however if rimac is own by the competition wouldn’t they stop the selling of the tech to a rival? I don’t know

Aston is worth Zero and that is because it can’t produce the products that it needs to be saved. In the past you needed an engine, a chassis and great design so Aston thought oh I can outsource the engine and I am done. But this is not longer the case.

The fact that a car now can keep its driver alive is incredible. Cars now are by far the best they have ever been (except Alfas, that memo never got to them)

You are so right, I have a Citroën so I know, but it does make you wonder why they bother with racing

I think they are going to let Alfa die.

FWD with the engine and platform of a 308. Incredibly pretty in person but it was not a halo, not close to their concept cars. You could even order it as a Diesel...

PSA motorsports never make sense, they win a lot but they never use any of that knowledge in their cars. Citroën has won so many rally championships, yet they decided to only build FWD cars. Peugeot never actually built a halo car, lots of concepts but all that hypercar tech went to waste.
