I see it differently. An episode or two of Jessica solving smaller cases wouldn’t necessarily be irrelevant, rehashed filler. If a smaller case or two can showcase the unique ways she uses her unique abilities to solve unique cases, it could still be entertaining and essential to her character development.

Totally! I always thought that we needed to see her solve some smaller PI cases before gearing up to Kilgrave.

Not TL;DR at all! If you’re at all willing to share what you’ve written about your experiences with this, I would be interested in reading it. I just started reading Sheila E’s memoir, and one of the first things she says is that she has finally been “persuaded of [her] innocence,” which called to mind your posts. I

Thank you so much for your insight as well, and it does make sense. I know it’s not easy to talk about these experiences, so I really appreciate you sharing part of your story.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question, especially during such a tough time. I know I’m just a random internet stranger, but I’m sending you hugs and positivity and love.

I apologize if this question is super invasive, but how do you recognize other similarly damaged souls? Is there something in their demeanor that you’ve seen in yourself that you’re then able to spot in others? I’m genuinely curious, and hope I don’t come across as sounding doubtful of your perceptions or experiences.

I wish I could tell you how goofy that octopus sequence is without the CGI, but I have no idea. :'( :'( :'(

Zoo Minus the CGI Check-In: So in the video I worked on, they actually did have most of the see-through/invisible big ass snake added in already, except for when Jamie cuts herself out of the snake and stands in its dead body. They basically got one of those bendable tube tents that kids play in, covered it with bed

I'll happily weigh in after next week's big ass snake episode.

I am so glad AV Club is covering this show. I work in post production and often get to see these episodes several weeks in advance before the CGI is added, which makes it even more batshit.

I spend a lot of time berating myself for having listened to idiot creative writing professors who dismissed my stories for essentially not being what *they* liked to write. I got the "It was just too much" note ALL the damn time.

I read a bazillion of those Fear Street books, and in addition to running low on stories and characters, the prose—which was never all that terrific to begin with—became identical across all books. "Her/his mouth was frozen in an O of terror" was the only way Stine knew how to say "this person was scared as fuck when

I still remember the Fear Street Saga, too (including the logic of "The name Fier is clearly cursed, so I'll change it to Fear instead, which will certainly keep all this freaky shit from happening), so don't beat yourself up.

And he went full frontal. As a longtime Dylan McKay fan, that was kind of life changing.

Lord, that image still haunts me.

I never understood the show's insistence that the American people and most of Congress adore Claire despite her being married to Frank. It's like HOC takes place in this fantasy world where we don't judge women based on the men closest to them.

Whenever I see something about Hanson, I think about how endless debates about whether they sucked or not basically made me stop going to the VH1 chat room on AOL back in the day. Prior to that all we talked about was Alanis and what New Wave artists of yore were currently up to. Apparently some dude from ABC was

And we know they started seeing each other regularly not long before the beheading because they discussed it in his car on the night of it. So if that was during the election cycle and now we're somewhere in the spring of 2017, then that probably puts the hate-fucking around a year, maybe a year and a half? Who the

Holy shit, where is Micky Dolenz? How is he not all over this??

I totally agree, and it's exactly what I feared when we lost Meechum last season. At least all his scenes came with the promise of an impromptu threesome. It feels like this show doesn't know how to have fun anymore.
