I wish I had lost weight on 1700 calories instead of the oft-advised 1200. For two years I ate 1200 calories and was hungry most of the time. When I hit my goal weight I went back up to 2000 calories and have gained a lot of the weight back. Twelve hundred calories is bull shit.
