There was something a little weird about hearing Ira Glass enter the Spontaneanation dome, but man, "Jury Deliberations" is up there with my favorite improv sections they've ever done.

I run hot and cold on Jamie Denbo but that may have been my favorite episode to date. "Sleepin' with Barbara" was the obvious instant classic, but "That's Being a Parent" was stunningly good, and even a little bit moving.

I could see how this episode might be too meta or inside baseball for a lot of listeners, but I loved it. I could've listened to Parham, St. Clair and Hines busting Besser's chops and swapping improv gossip for another couple of hours easily.

Arguably, he didn't make it through two sentences without resorting to petty baiting, unless your read of "Let's see what others do" is a lot more charitable than mine.

This strategy is gonna backfire hard in 10 years or so.

Why must every generation think their folks are square
And no matter where their heads are they know mom's ain't there
'Cause I swore when I was small that I'd remember when
I knew what´s wrong with them that I was smaller than

I saw Phoebe Robinson play Turf Club in Saint Paul a few years ago and she did a small chunk bagging on the Midway Days Inn and the murder-y vibe of Tracks Bar & Grill. That has forever earned her my love, because I don't get many East Coast comics coming through town for a day who can take down my specific

It is exactly what you would think a Jess McKenna-Zach Reino web series about struggling novelty songwriters accidentally managing a Justin Bieber-type in L.A. would be, which is to say, yes, delightful.

He can. I was at the Eels show in St. Paul a few years ago when they unexpectedly and surreally brought Perry out to sing the encore. It was apparently his first public performance in something like a decade. He sang Eels' "It's a Motherfucker" and a couple of Journey songs and he sounded pretty good to my untrained

It pains me greatly that we didn't get to hear June Diane Raphael's reaction to Hard Ticket to Hawaii on this week's How Did This Get Made. No knock on Karen Kilgarrif and Andrea Savage, but if ever there was a movie that would mortify/fascinate June, it's this one.

Carl Tart is absolutely an instant must-listen any time his name pops up in my queue. I've never heard him be less than great.

That little tidbit about Sean has me so intrigued. I need to know the full story on that.

I was mildly disappointed that Scuzz Man wasn't a source of conflict this time around, but once they got to Hayes hassling nuclear mutants from the forums all was forgiven and then some.

I can't help feeling that some of the shine will wear off for me once they've settled into recognizable patterns, but for the time being I am fully on board. We all knew Jess was an otherworldly improv talent and Zach is every inch her equal. I also hope this 'cast makes some people track down their vastly underrated

And cloven feet.

No, no, it's berber. That's an industry term.

Damn it, I should've said "leak game."

It's a league game, Smokey.

This bodes poorly for our girlfriends, both the opioid addict and the Latina single mother.
