Yeah, it's the attrition that really makes it painful. I'd be down for 6-8 weeks of winter. I still wouldn't be a big fan but I do like watching it snow. I've spent Christmases in places that don't get cold and it just feels wrong.

Seeing him speak extemporaneously at a small, informal function made me realize that Franken is one of those instinctively funny people. It wasn't like he was rattling off one-liners or landing zingers, but nearly everything he said was just plain funny. It must take a concerted effort for him to keep that in check in
