I've seen the trailer for a Taxi Driver porn parody that appears to be a surprisingly well-made, almost shot-for-shot remake of the original, but with hardcore sex scenes every now and then. I've been tempted to purchase the full thing out of sheer admiration for the ambition that would have to go into making a thing

Oh, I know, but it was usually pretty evident when the guest either didn't get or was annoyed by the concept. It's always fun to watch somebody who expects the usual talk show plug-fest flailing away at the format shift, especially in the early episodes.

Mel Brooks!

Pat Boone was one of the first guests to unlock the full potential of Space Ghost Coast to Coast. It was early in the series and Boone had no idea how to handle the Space Ghost format. He was promoting his stupid ironic metal “comeback” album and was clearly peeved at having to deviate from his “ha-ha, Pat Boone is

Yeah, I get people not thinking she's funny, but the level of vitriol she inspires online is baffling.

I’ve found him very funny the couple of times he’s been on, but he also has a different rhythm than most of the SPONT squad that can be a bit jarring. Maybe it’s because I remember him doing short-form on Whose Line, but it seems like he goes to the flashback button too quickly and winds up cutting off ideas that were

See, I actually prefer the live episodes. I find the audience energy infectious and I like hearing their questions and observations. For me it creates a fun vibe of “We’re all buddies who watched this bad movie together,” especially when the crowd goes the extra mile like the folks who wore Bim marks to the Apple

Oh, I almost forgot about one of the more awkward moments in Improv 4 Humans history, where a bizarre judgment call by Kevin the intern led to a scene based off of a news report about an actual murder. The performers recovered nicely and got a good scene out of it, but Besser and especially Seth Morris were clearly

She's pushed the improv down a lot of the show's weirdest, darkest alleys.

I can't argue with that lineup. Sarah Burns was my favorite SPONT improviser in the early going but I feel like she hasn't quite hit her groove with the last couple of lineups. Brandon Johnson's couple of appearances have been fantastic. I hope to hear more of him.

Any time she appears on an Earwolf show, the comments both there and, to a lesser extent, here erupt in angry opinion-slinging.

I never miss SPONT. It's the coziest podcast in my rotation. I love the whole thing, but yeah, I'll usually pause it after the improviser intros and save the scene for when I can listen straight through.

At first I thought the Drama Shoot! Shoot! bit was going to be a rehash of Matt Besser's condescending British podcaster from way back when (a character I liked a lot), but this wound up being something way weirder. The escalation was almost Andy Daly-esque.

I preemptively cringe whenever Brian Huskey is on because he regularly goes grosser than I prefer, but this was an astonishingly good performance. Easily my favorite thing I've heard from Huskey, and one of my favorite CBB characters of the year.

I’ve thus far only caught the Paul F. Tompkins episode of Hard Nation but that was enough to hook me. The extensive conversation about Ted Cruz’s relationship with his daughter was thrilling.
"Again, this is the media trying to spin this. My daughter, of course she loves me. On a typical night I’ll come home from

I’m not about to wade into expressing my opinion of Cameron Esposito or Pete Holmes because that’s a sucker’s game, but I will say I loved the audacity of How Did This Get Made booking two of the most divisive figures in comedy podcasting together, and billing them as “audience favorites."

I'll go to bat for some of Petra, although they skewed a little heavier than Newsboys et al.

I have one of their albums. Turns out Bowie was kinda integral to the recipe.

Liking this because I support any effort to increase awareness of Judy Dyble.

The post-Shane Waiting for Herb is a damn great album in its own right, even if it is rather a departure from their established sound. I still listen to that one fairly regularly. “Tuesday Morning,” “Sitting on Top of the World” and “Once Upon a Time” are all marvelous songs. Poguemahone, on the other hand, is a thing
