Yeah, I'm living in America, but I was raised in Canada where if a politician invokes god they are deemed an absolute nutso, and not to be trusted.

But every single candidate invokes god at every turn, and in many cases, their religious beliefs are used as a justification for their policies. Your position just isn't in line with reality in the United States.

Yeah...I agree with you, but "free speech" doesn't actually mean the same thing in Canada. If you're speaking in a public forum, you can't actually say anything misleading or target protected minorities. In Canada, "free speech," also means "freedom from speech."
