I have a newish car, a 2012 Focus Wagon, but my ultimately goal sounds very similarly to yours.

I remember an old Japanese video where Keichii Tsuchiya ran against a young racer on Willow Springs and I remember he was chasing the youngster and exclaimed “you went in too early!” At him. To me it looked like the other driver took a proper racing line, but he indeed ended up wide on the next corner, where the Drift…
Oh yes, I am sticking with my relatively high-profile tyres, cause I feel that I might be able to drive a comfortable car fast, but the opposite might prove to be too challenging for my spine. Do you perhaps have a page somewhere where I could watch your e21's restoration unfold, it sounds mighty interesting what your…
I will keep that in mind when setting up mine, thanks.
I have a feeling that people perform too many “because racecar” mods on their cars.
I can actually plead guilty of that. I thought I wanted body roll gone out of my car and wanted some beefy swaybars for my car. Did my research, figured I’d be better off getting a set of coilovers and setting them to stock settings, while allowing a professional to set up the compression and rebound for me, in order…
This is what happens when you have a stiff suspension that is too impervious to body roll with low-profile tyres. I agree, an unlikely scenario, but watching old film videos of the Nurburgring, when swaybars weren’t a thing and instead manufacturers combated body roll with suspension geometry, I conclude that you in…
Big whoop on the speeding tickets, I must have about forty in my six years of driving. It does beg the question though, if she’s been caught driving on the wrong side of the road, where I live that revokes your license for a few years, getting caught drunk bars you from driving for a lifetime. How come she still…
Twitchy, slow drivers. Sometimes people change lanes like they’re in a racing arcade game, yet go like a snail. Worst of all they’re really unpredictable.
My fellow Ford owners. We must not allow Chevrolet to outpace us in their achievements, thus I implore everyone to do their best and attempt to crash our Mustangs three times in 5 minutes. God speed.
It just waved hello to its fans, that’s all.
So do we count people who speak languages other than English animals now?
Who else’s watched the wrong car expecting it to fly?
A Jack Russell and a Focus Wagon.
Had an AZLK 2140. The export name for the turd that is the Moskvitch 412. Bought the car with aspirations to drop a Honda Prelude engine in it, weld the diff, cut the springs and go ice drifting every now and then, but I first had to get it running. Which I did, first car that I seriously wrenched on, felt very proud…
A Renault Avantime in Moscow, inside a mall’s underground parking lot. It was parked right next to an Audi R8, it is funny how a supercar can be more common than a people carrier.
I added an ESP Off switch to my car. Perhaps cause it’s an automatic Focus and the only ones that come with the stock button are the ST and RS, which are manual, the switch works only occasionally. It disables traction control alright, reenables it too, but turning off the stability protocols altogether is a lottery.…
I live in Moscow and someone here managed to kill 7 people in a similar accident driving a bleeding Hyundai Solaris.
“Dammit, Lincoln, stop bouncing!”
Does this thing remind the Dale that Regular Car Reviews’ Roman covered last month? I mean, come on: fuel economy, three wheels, missed schedules. I read the Black Swan, I know that the chance that this is a reoccurrence is very slim, but damn it fits.
