The US pricing makes it hard to justify the CC over the XC90. Here are the Swedish pricing:
V90 D4 AWD Momentum: 402.900 SEK
V90 D4 AWD CC Cross Country Plus package: 422.900 SEK
XC90 D4 AWD Momentum: 542.000 SEK

Mercedes-Benz has a very nice feature which I don’t think so many know about. If you stamp quick and pretty hard on the brake at standstill, the car will hold the brake until you press the accelerator again.

On bad days I wish Harley-Davidsson drivers instant death penalty when farting with their stupid engines. Some days I almost like them.  

100.000 miles in 2,5 years? Is he on vacation half of the year or what? Just get an MB E220d and do some serious taxi-ing instead. ;)

Volvo XC90 and Tesla S has more or less the same type of Level 3 (cruise control) which can hold the car within the lines. The only difference is that Tesla is more adventurous with the max speed and how much you need to touch/hold the steering wheel.

Paired with my iPhone it activates Siri. Pretty nice actually. I haven’t opted any extra voice opitions.
