Isn’t this the same guy that discovered a (fake) new planet and named it for himself? I can’t find any reference to it, now, but I’m pretty certain it was a west- or central-Asian dictator.

You’re right - CBP deals with you on the inbound when it comes to GE. I still wouldn’t pay for it on principle, until they get the outbound garbage figured out.

Heh... No this is bleached as in, some of the pigment has been washed away, and now there’s clear glass to look through. 😁

Are you serious? Holy!

Yeah those glasses always only go in the top rack. Kirkland still bleached then over the span of about a year.

Spill it. What’s the detergent? The Kirkland Signature from Costco slowly but sure bleached out about 7 pint glasses with colored printing on them. Cascade is doesn’t bleach out my pint glass prints (as quickly, anyway), but it’s not very strong. Phosphorus isn’t allowed anymore in that stuff, right?

The two comments? Give it some time.

Oh my God, you’re right. Even more reason not to pay to get around them.

Funny. The lesson I learn from this story isn’t “watch out for shit on Amazon” (because I already do that), it’s “don’t bother giving the government more money for shit they should be doing better anyway.”

After reading this, I’m a bit confused.

Bought a ‘95 Plymouth Neon Sport. Had what I can only assume are fuel-line issues for two years before I finally gave up and traded it in. Don’t remember how much I paid for it, but it was too much. It barely escaped being technically a lemon, and I hated it constantly after the first 3 months I drove it. It would

Thanks so much for this. My mom is dying, and has been for a year - some days she’s been much closer to going, and some days it seems like she’ll outlive me, but it’s on a rail. My dad died when I was 15, suddenly, of a massive heart attack. 2 or 3 hours was all it took for him to go. When my mom was diagnosed, I

My mom is dying slowly from cancer, and I’m coming to realize that many of her terrible choices made throughout my youth and hidden from view are now coming to light because of her confused state, and the fact that I have to help her get stuff organized. It’s bewildering, and disorienting, but I just keep saying that

To this day, I cannot hear Planet Telex from Radiohead’s The Bends without getting a sudden jolt of adrenaline, precisely because of this.

Some of the incidents have been Chinese tourists, but they are by no means the only groups that are, at the moment anyway, in the spotlight for doing things so wrong. And although right now, Asian tourists seem to be the biggest category of perpetrators, it’s not a lock that you’ll only find Asians on the wrong end of

This, of course, goes both ways. There have been a lot of reports about foreign, mostly Asian, tourists coming to visit national parks here in the states, and destroying natural features. Just from Yellowstone alone, it’s enough to boil your blood.

Remember Michael Fay? Only the story there was that he didn’t even do half of what they pinned on him. If it were recorded, though, they could really prove it.

Holy shit, I basically came to write the same thing.

I should point out that Dad’s Hat is apparently trying to resurrect an Old Monongahela style spirit - basically the prototypical rye whiskey from Pennsylvania.

Some interesting new (to me, anyway) stuff I’ve tried lately, and liked:
