Needs moar Hey Girl.

So, basically, some homophobic asshole can flag a page about gay rights, and it will be removed automatically until enough people complain and a Facebook admin gets around to reviewing the complaint? Great system!

I’m not sure non-committal email messages to a college student about a $1,000 deal constitute a "contract" that can carry the kind of weight Ceglia seems to want it to hold.

I never heard of that site! A friend in college, physics student who went on to become a nuclear physicist, introduced me to the idea of traffic as compressional waves. That was back in 1996! I had just taken a class in the physics of sound, so it seemed very intuitive to me.

Collisions create a compressional wave through the car "particles." The wave continues to travel, even after the artifacts of the collision are removed. The wave cannot disperse until the number of cars ("particles") thins out.

It is extremely offensive to say that Jewish Europeans are not Semites, as though they are not tribally Jewish. Who is Helen Thomas to pronounce on this? The remark demonstrates ignorance and prejudice, and it shows she has some crazy and uninformed ideas about history, race, and national identity.

I am sure lots and lots of much nicer boys will want to date her now.

Everything about this is dazzling. Let’s hear it for the models, too: their poses and expressions are flawless.

It’s OK, Herman: stupid comes in every color.

Some people call them fly-over states, but really they’re America’s uterus.

@jayDee: OMIGOD I thought I was the only one thinking of Chuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!

@badasscat:Girl, if a maricon ate macaroons ...

There’s the long arm of the law, and then there’s the extremely stupid arm of the law.

@Sabbatai: Wait, what am I saying? Mining is a great job, especially in Chile. These guys are friggin’ rich.

@CPD: 50% of people in Chile have access to the internet. Even without considering the economic status of the miners, there is a 50% chance they do not have access to the internet.

@Sabbatai: Oh, EXCUSE ME for wondering whether people who for a pittance risk their lives 2000 feet below the surface of the earth in environmentally hazardous conditions might not have money for a computer and an internet connection!

That’s great, because I’m sure they all have the computers required to use the iPods, not to mention the internet connections required to download the required iTunes application.
