I think the silver you see is just a lazy respray of the lower paint color. Looks like they probably masked off the green with the doors closed...sprayed silver, and the door jambs allowed some of that silver onto the jambs.

Take a close look in that trunk, it’s not just the carpet, but what the carpet sits on. The boxes covering the wheel wells on either side of the sub are not the same height (right side in the photo is lower). The entire trunk space seems to be made of plywood covered in classic rental apartment carpet.
