Yeah, it was pretty close to done.
If it was in pre-production I suspect they would’ve just hired Barry Keoghan or that kid from Dune and let Miller disappear.

Is it possible for Olivia Wilde to come off any more insincere and self-serving? She says all the right things, but you can feel her hatred of anyone who gives her even the slightest bit of pushback oozing through her every word.
Unpopular Opinion: the amount of, or lack of, fan service, jedi/sith, Skywalkers is completely irrelevant and this series is fantastic simply because it’s WELL WRITTEN. (along with well done at all the other traditional film metrics like acting, cinematography, story, etc)
“I’m really curious to know what Sequel Trilogy Haters/Feloni stans are feeling about this show.”
The sequel trilogy still sucks. Feloni is still the “Heir to the Empire”, so to speak. This show being good doesn’t change that.
“full of great flourishes”
The one time physics works in Star Wars, and it kills that poor kid.
When I heard there were 12 episodes I figured this show was going to look like it was on a budget. I mean, I give the folks behind Mandalorian tons of credit for at least making it look better than it should with the use of that big digital screen background they’ve used in clever ways instead of shooting on location.…
It was completely irresponsible for Dasha Burns to say when there was no closed captioning he did not understand her. No shit. That would be like saying when she talked at a deaf person without sign language or speech or to text they did not understand her. The problem is not them. The problem is the mode of…
Goddamn is this show ever great. It’s reminding me a bit about the early 70s cinema turn to grit and antiheroes and the whole embrace of moral ambiguity. I particularly loved how, during the robbery, the Rebels haughtily self-justify themselves while kidnapping a relatively innocent woman and her son, basically…
Everything with the Commandant in this episode highlights the difference between actual storytellers like Gilroy compared to the people running all the other shows, who are content with merely dumping all the toys on the table to show you Boba Fett’s new hat.
And the Empire built taverns with big screen TV’s along the pilgrimage trail to keep the Aldhanians placated and out of the valley. Jesus, show. Offhand comment making me reevaluate my life n’ shit.
I believe this season is 12 episodes, so we are halfway there with six more to go and then an additional 12 episodes in season 2. Truly a bounty of riches!
Andor is also succeeding in how real it feels. The good guys suffer losses in firefights, characters have motivations outside of the main plot, and you can feel the rebellion building through small clues like the little extra commotion in the senate or the guy joking about it while reading the news. A lesser show…
Oh, and the Commandant dying of an apparent heart attack was some sweet poetic justice.
We’ve also seen cases of women in medical distress being forced to wait until they are in mortal danger before receiving an abortion, so yeah. All of these GOP ghouls are full of shit.
Let’s cut the bullshit.
He’s fucking lying
She was sobbing uncontrollably, she asked me if I wanted to keep the baby (to which I said no), I gave her the amount of cash one would need to pay for an abortion, I dropped her off at a healthcare facilities that provides abortions, ..... HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW SHE WAS GOING FOR AN ABORTION???!!?
It’s funny, because Arizona was part of Mexico, and white people literally invaded, killed people, and took all the jobs and land. But that's history, and we don't want people learning stuff.
Hate speech, absent very specific threats, is absolutely protected speech already. They want to normalize and destigmatize hate speech.
