Yeah, unfortunately, that kind of advice isn’t region specific and in the wrong place–a dead wrong way to think.

My hope, is that we discover when the Celestial appears over Earth, he passes on a mutation (or activates it) in the populace, and we get a teens erupting with powers they don’t understand, thus breeding the bigotry that makes the mutant story so successful in Marvel. Having them appear from another universe or any…
the problem with that, for me anyway is, it keeps mutants too far apart from humans to really care about them, just like the Inhumans and the Eternals. They are an exterior species and not ‘us.’ The problem with mutants and what was most compelling to me as a story is, my brother, my child, my next door neighbor could…
I.Was.Thinking.The.Same.Thing!
sure, but really, are we 200 years away from that?
right? and hey, Tony Stark, Black Widow, Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers...all died ‘publicly;’ all came back to life and everyone was like ‘oh. cool. carry on super hero...’
And the irony that a modern day iPhone probably does more than a 23rd Century tricorder...oops.
You are so wrong. She is being cast as Joan Harrison...
Rob if you want to understand George Lucas’s vision of the Tuskens, Then you have to watch the movie the Searchers, And see how the Han Solo and Luke Skywalker inspirations(well, a facet anyway) handle the savages that stole the girl most important to them in their lives. The scene where Anakin sneaks into the camp is…
A few years ago I was listening to NDT’s radio show and he had on a speaker that killed it for me on manned space exploration. He said that we really are nearly there with downloading an astronaut’s consciousness on a ship to go to a planet that can analyze the surface, send a probe down to collect terrestrial samples…
Not really an exception, whether one begat the other doesn’t matter, Taxi Driver and Deer Hunter predated all of them, and it was the archetype of the slow boil, festering male that finally had a trigger point to go, and the audience backs him up. Hey, I ate all those up too, and still love Rambo and Punisher and the…
that isn’t really what this is about. Regardless of what “triggered” him, its about the shoot first, tough guy mentality, and that is what the overall theme is for these heroes of the era. The trigger point differs for all of them, but the result is the same.
its not a sprint, its a marathon, and we are betting on who bolted out to first on the starting line, which rarely ends well.
I agree. To me, the Punisher was a Marvel answer to First Blood Rambo, and doing its tweak of a harsh-justice-seeking Vietnam Vet warrior looking for a war. A trope now, that doesn’t really work for today’s society.
Right? I feel like the right question hasn’t been asked concerning Fishbourne, and perhaps he has a role somehow. Honestly, if the events of the last movie are any indication, Fishbourne lived out his life with Zion and finished his chapter, but since Neo and Trinity died in-Matrix/machine central with their bodies…
I had the privilege of filming him in another preacher role in The Graves and yes, he was a fantastic pro to work with. We were one of the first movies to use the RED camera, and he geeked out and asked me to walk him through the whole thing. Cool fact? I am not a tiny guy, and his hand span was wider than my chest!
Ever since I got screen protectors with lifetime replacement and screen repair guarantee if they fail to protect, I don’t see the need for Apple Care.
Riiiiiggghhhttt...because the REAL world will be just as accommodating to your now bratty kid who expects it to always meet him half way in life. I can’t wait for his first firing experience on that one.
Too bad they blew their wad on Love Sausage already. What a waste...
That was great, and the sequel Annual issue was awesome too.
