Thing is, Janeway cuts her own path, taking on the most famous ship name in Starfleet would somehow water her down a bit in my opinion. Let Janeway continue to make a name for her legacy with different ships of the line. I think that elevates her more, rather than hammering into a mold to fit the Enterprise.

why should Ruby be special? The companions are supposed to be the vehicle of US, the Audience, to travel with the Doctor, not to be a Savior-of-them-all every time. I mean, sure, occasionally, its nice for a companion to be a special key to something, but more often than not, it should be an ordinary Joe or Jane that

Agreed, but hey, we all know they are going to do some massive twist where Homelander, Butcher and Hughie are a ID, SUPERID, EGO lifeform that was really created, and the circle tightens for them for the reveal...

To be honest, I’d still would have like to have seen Dougray Scott’s version...

Right? I mean, look at Peter Jackson’s ultra low budget starter horror films. They were shite, but so fun to watch because the practical effects BLENDED with the footage, not looked like it was painted on afterwards. THAT is the problem with CGI!

God, Vourdalak is what modern horror movies are missing–shoot on freakin film! Looks so good!

Missed opportunity. They should do a Tales of Middle Earth, or Tales of the Rings anthology with Gollum as the Hobbit Hole Master narrating the episodes. Gold I tell you. Preciousssssss gold...

It makes perfect sense LL, Weylend Yutani probably designed the rifles so the marines can be distracted long enough to look and BAM” become the blanket to the gestating pig now thrust inside ya!

It just looks awkward without a phone booth to change in. Superman sits to change? Not heroic! ;-)

I may be wrong, but my 50 plus year old brain seems to remember He-Man was introduced in the comics world by being on Earth and meeting Superman, who helped him get back to Eternia? Did I make that up?

I love the Mad Max franchise, and loved Fury Road, but my only complaint is how cartoonish the new movies look because of the CGI. I loved the over exposed look of originals, they looked burned out and forlorn, now its so peppy and the dynamic range is so wide, its beautiful, but just too cartoony for me in that

I disagree collex. I teach a college course on broadcast journalism and showed students longer form news stories and even films to drive home the notion of sequence shooting and the complaint on the older films were that the sequences took too long and were ‘boring.’ Most of these are still the best examples today

I applaud that you have A Boy and His Dog and Damnation Alley in this list, but this is not complete without The Quiet Earth or even the Day After...

Is it me, or was Mojo more menacing looking with big, normal FLAT teeth? Like a jaundiced maniacal Franklin Delano Roosevelt? The razor teeth don’t work for me.

All the same diff...

Well, I am sure there is a brother or sister of one of the antagonists who will launch a revenge that gets it all going again, this time across a state, a country, a continent, or in space.

Oh yeah, Ewes, I think his first dastardly role. I don’t remember Warwick, but David Rappaport was amazing too, really the heart of the movie.

Which, in turn, took the 1980s The Bride with Sting, Clancy Brown and Jennifer Beals which was pretty revolutionary in its time promoting female independence, and fantastic acting all around from Sting and Clancy.

wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff?

I had the base too, I used it opposite my Death Star and some added some shelves and Tyco tracks to make them more intimidating opponents that took over the living room much to my parent’s chagrin, but usually rolled up thermal sock sock bombs destroyed the bases in all out battles and cleaned up before Cronkite came
