Well, the True Knot wasn’t so two dimensional for starters. The Overlook no longer existed, as it blew up at the end of the first book. So the final showdown wasn’t anywhere near the same.
yes, I meant the book. The book was really good, and sat well in the world of the first book instead of the movie. The ‘vampires’ were more nuanced and not as armed or ‘biker-y’ either, more gypsies than Near Dark vamps, and Danny was so believable, and the ghosts that haunted so much more poignant.
Exactly.
agreed.
I loved the book, and it actually fit. The movie changed enough things that I left disappointed. The ending of the. book was really a full circle that was heartbreaking and amazing, but the movie changed it and it was just frustrating and wrong.
Didn’t that happen in the TV miniseries? Its foggy now...
That was the one time I can think of where the movie was actually better than the book. That sequel Hannibal, when I finished reading it, I literally threw across the room in disgust of how they treated Clarice’s character. It was like Harris got so annoyed by people dogging him to make a followup that he said, “you…
seconded. I love Keanu, but we saw how a foreign accent worked out for him in Dracula, it didn’t. Put him elsewhere, not Kraven. Gerard is an epic choice. I would also go with Joe Manganiello, even though he’s been around the block now with Spidey and DC
I am willing to bet their connection to each other will ultimately lead to a stellar catastrophe, one big enough to forever scar Yoda and steer the Jedi into this different tangent. 200 years isn’t so far away cosmically, and I see a setup here to expose the Jedi to a destruction point for Palpatine to exploit.
To me, I see light and dark in relation to how far outside your species you step out. Master Saba Sebatyne was also somewhat ‘feral’ in the expanded universe, and she trained Leia from a padawan, so, I don’t see this as much different.
Of course, Bo-Katan was leading a pretty hard life that would have at least made her look a little more Sarah Conner-ish by the time of the last Terminator movie...I guess those Mandalorian helmets really help with aging.
As does Greg Tolen.
Huh. I was actually interested in the monster design. Lots of other elements of the movie blew chunks for me, but the monster looked good enough.
I so want Banshee and Forge to have their own book investigating something. They were such a good team up when they were on the hunt to find the X-Men as the Shadow King was building up that led to the awesome 90's team.
DITTO.
OH SHIT THAT IS SO SPOT ON...!
Likewise. I use it a lot in social media for two reasons; to invite a continued dialog in the medium whereas I feel like I am closing the book on one with a period, and to match my typical way of talking which I feel is a little bit Jeff Goldblum and slightly Severus Snape, I like to...hang my emphasis on...certain…
Watch Wendy. It was an amazing interpretation of the genre. Beasts of the Southern Wild lens.
Have you seen the movie Wendy? I think that was the best Pan yet. Made by the people that brought you the Beasts of the Southern Wild. Outstanding.
