I don't know. It all sounds like a lot of doubletalk to try and appease people like me who are clamoring for a Captain Marvel or Black Widow movie. Until he greenlights a movie that DOESN'T have a white male lead, I'm not buying it.

He was one of the best parts of the movie. Did you even see it?
This is just the episode of The Simpsons where Homer won't let Bart see the Itchy and Scratchy Movie. This daughter will be thanking her mom when she eventually becomes Chief Justice of the United States. #simpsonsdidit
Blame Fox, not Marvel.
Saw it twice this weekend (once in IMAX, woot!) and loved it both times. I'll admit it was light on plot, but boy was it a fun and wild ride. Lots of laughter throughout and a couple of "Hell yeah!" moments.
Stop making my cry Vin Diesel! ;.;
actually, I'd be super cool if tatiana maslany plays all 4 ghostbuster. totally super cool.
I agree, I think it would be funnier if everything was the same but all of the genders are reversed without making the movie overtly sexual. I'm a Trek fan and wish 7 of 9 would have been in a regular uniform all of the time instead of the super tight catsuit. Plus I think women in uniform are attractive ;)
Aisha Tyler, Tina Fey, Morgan Murphy, Melissa McCarthy. Boom. Let's get this in production, Sony.
Okay, just posted in another thread pretty much what I'm going to say here. He's right. I'd love to see a female superhero on screens just as much as anyone else, but right now, we've got a better shot at seeing Rescue than we do at a Black Widow solo movie, a Captain Marvel movie, or one of their many others. …
oddly enough i was ok with the zod murder, as what else where you going to do with that over powered of a nightmare (which made no sense as clark grew up on the planet and had way more time to absorb sun rays but ok) it was the lack of concern for the fact that he was DESTROYING metropolis while fighting zod that i…
The last time I laughed that hard at a movie was Galaxy Quest... thankfully, THIS one is getting a sequel!
They got my dick message!
Saw it yesterday. Loved it. Reminded me more of 80's sci-fi space movies than your average modern space film. Like I could shove this in a library of The Empire Strikes Back, Buckaroo Banzai, Star Trek: The Voyage Home and The Last Starfighter and it would be right at home. (Only with way, way, WAY better special…
We can blame them for it being so shitty that no one wanted to see it.
According to the Watcher it was the real deal.
there's another great piece with Feige over at The Hollywood Reporter, where he says they really could do a female superhero movie. because they can. they just won't.
I can blame them for looking at those movies and thinking that a woman protagonist was the problem; therefore, no female leads ever.
Not to mention deleting Janet Van Dyne from Ant-Man's story in order to make him less problematic is an incredibly dickish move. Janet (aka Wasp) is a great character and superhero in her own right, but lets just get rid of her, since having her included along with the infamous slap might make people like Hank Pym…
I feel like I've seen enough Black Widow. Let us go another female superhero route, and add in some new female blood while we're at it.
