First Gear: People want the auto industry to compete on fuel efficiency, so they ask the government to mandate it?
It’s like everyone just forgot how things work.

I would like to have been in the conference room when this conversation happened:
I don’t think people really grasp just how disruptive automation is going to be. There are going to be giant, giant swaths of the public that will be unemployed and unemployable because it will be cheaper and easier to have robots do their jobs than people, and those newly unemployed folks won’t have the skills to…
I’m not triggered. This isn’t a good article. It’s easy to see it’s just another article where Terrell shows his objection to a Trump action. That’s fine - but it’s monotonous for Terrell and the “issue” not at all important.
Zzzzzzz...
Trump /= Pentagon. Just because the White House cares about saving money doesn’t mean the Pentagon does.
Neutral:
My entire world is collapsing.
For the record I’m not against change. I’m not some Luddite. But I feel... Sad. Gas powered engines have left an integral mark on culture, in all parts of the world. American pop culture is built on big engines and chrome cars. Entire industries have popped up around gasoline…
Ok, just to be clear here since our man Ryan isn’t too hot on communication:
Every time I take my 2WD Dodge Ram out in the winter I look for places to do doughnuts with it.
Love the Canadian stereotype, and love that Canadian ex-pats try desperately to perpetrate that myth. Canadians are aggressive, jingoist, assholes and have their own terrible racist past just like the rest of us.
It’s a shame the guy getting beaten probably isn’t allowed to have one to protect himself in Canada.
Shock level 0/10
The reason you often hear that the American’s “saved” Europe is because they are not a European nation. It was a completely expeditionary effort and some still argue, not necessary for the US’s own interests. Largely, it was the US holding up its end of an alliance. Without the US contributions, the UK does not…
Lumping the Brits, Canucks and Aussies as a “Commonwealth” Army is cheating. The US provided the most Soldiers, followed by the Brits, then Canadians, then Australians.
How does the war in Europe go without Americans joining the fight, would you say?
I don’t know the answer to that question because I haven’t seen it myself but even if this ends up being saving private Ryan 2017 I’ll be way happy
This is not at all like Saving Private Ryan. The plot thread here is get home on a ship that doesn’t sink. The rest of the movie is a non-stop avalanche of catastrophe. You don’t really catch your breath or get a moment of peace as you do with SPR.
The headline doesn’t make sense. Travel Or Put Your Privacy At Risk, The Choice May Soon Be Yours?
^ come to the mountains in colorado and see what Taco’s do and where they go and you might rethink your last sentence. Full size trucks are just too big for a lot of passes/roads/trails.
