I think what they were trying to say was that the profits (ie: money made after all business expenses, including manufacturing/staffing, are covered) go back to Japan/Toyota Motor Corporation . It's a technicality but a valid one none-the-less.
Can you blame them? As a Californian - Austin's the only real place I'd want to live in Texas.
If you have ever actually studied both forms of marketing a product you would know both have pro's and con's and both have horror stories, but that appears to be a little to unbiased for you
