I lived about 3 minutes away from the parking structure (so 10'ish minutes from home to front gate). I absolutely loved hearing the fireworks every night, it was almost like an alarm clock that signaled the time for me.
I've known people who've moved into an apartment/house directly behind Disneyland... only to later file noise complaints about the firework shows. I just don't get people some times.
