My dad had an OG Borgward.  The Isabella TS.  He wanted a german car in the worst way.  He wound up with the worst “german” car instead.  Four speed on the column.  Reverse was; push the gearstick towards the column, pull it toward you and push it up.  Mom couldn’t get it and whacked the front wall of the garage an

Okay Jalops, I say we pool our money to keep Borgward alive, once in control we can then build nothing but brown manual rear wheel drive station wagons!

Wow, I liked my 88 80.  Seems to be equipped the same, too.  Best MPG I ever got from a delivery vehicle until I went hybrid.  It was sadly destroyed in a collision.

This idiotic. If there are enough pedestrians or bicyclists anywhere, they need a safe place to travel on. Like in an urban area, most, or at least a huge percentage of people will be on bicycles and scooters or their feet and what not. Should they not use streets? Should they not be able to use them safely? Obviously

That last paragraph is just a terrible hot take. If we had other ways to get around the US im sure people wouldnt fly as much. Many, my self included, just buy the tickets they can afford but hate flying more and more.

Can we agree that the Citroën DS was one of the most futuristic cars of its time? It pioneered unconventional engineering solutions that were unheard of at the time; hydropneumatic suspension, a brake pedal that was a champignon, a narrower rear track than the front, etc.

Decepticons, attack!

I like how this Country song starts. Go on...

you know, I never hear people say this same thing about non-toll roads, which make up like 99% of roads in the US. they’re free to use, but certainly not free to build, patrol or maintain. and yet that notion never comes up when we talk about building or expanding roads.

The only way to stop this is to have a cop infiltrate the takeover crews and learn where they plan to do their take overs so they can have cops ready to roll.

It reminds me of the cities that used to fight skateboarding tooth and nail (harassing, fining, etc). The issues “went away” after building them a place to skateboard and now skateparks are fairly common to see.

Spot on. We need to make it far more possible to get by without a car. More busses, trains, and bike lanes please!

unfortunately the sad truth is because of accidents and car dependancy of north America there is a constant demand of people who HAVE to buy a car TODAY. they are out of rental days, they have overstayed their welcome of barrowing their friend/families car, they can no longer count on people giving them rides , and

The Livewire noise comes from the bevel drive that is used.

Oh my god, I don’t think I’ve heard a Livewire like that before. That’s so good

I feel like you’re working through some things.

Harley v twin from the “loud pipes save lives crowd.” One continuous fart.

As someone who is absolutely self-destructively obsessed with making period correct fictional things (cars, movie posters, electronics) this is some low effort crap.

A supercar designed in 1994 would’ve taken cues from organic run at the tail end of the 1980s like the Citroen Activa and Isuzu Como concept cars:
