Same!
And I take issue with the “manuals can’t have pre-collision braking and adaptive cruise control” features. Pre-collision braking shouldn’t be an issue at all, and adaptive cruise control? If the engine drops to a stall speed from slowing down, electrically activate the clutch. It resets when the driver depresses…
A Volkswagen Beetle, which is what I got. The first one, which I had before I got my driver’s license, didn’t have a floor. Such a POS. The second one, a ‘73 Super Beetle, I had for a year after getting my license, but my parents wanted me in something more reliable.
haha! I’m not saying everything worked, but the engine —never let me down.
Reminds me of my old Maestro, “City” spec. No radio.
Also the heater didn’t work.
The Honda J30A V6. My mom’s ‘03 Accord had it, and I was honestly blown away. It was smooth, it was powerful, it was efficient, and with the pedal to the floor, it made a lovely noise. Also bulletproof. She drove it for 13 years with zero problems.
And what about the bugs that end up on an airplane? Is there anyone there to pick them up? Did their bags make it?
100% with you on the wheels, Torch! Honestly, I don’t personally care for the low-profile, big wheel look. I’d much rather have a sturdy tire, something quiet and comfortable and cheap to replace.
Same. This made me laugh so hard.
I honestly thought it was going to be a Torchinsky Photoshop Special.
Cell phone use goes without saying. Jeez.
I had no idea. That makes this scene 100 times better!
Meanwhile, just 10 years before that: our 1960 Cadillac Series 62 had every option except two: cruise control and seatbelts. They were an option that year, and our cousin who originally ordered it did not get seatbelts.
This is my preference, too. My cars have all had light interiors and feel much airier and more comfortable, and I don’t find them hard to keep clean at all. And they don’t feel like heat sinks!
Worth it. I mean, I’d also prefer if the carpets were white, although I would accept blue to match the dash.
Absolutely my first thought. DSs, Rover P6s, and Avantis all making that noise.
I’ll pass on the green headlights, though.
In the video — that sounds pretty awesome!
I’ve not been to Buenos Aires, but I agree with you in comparing NYC, Paris, and London. Moscow is happenin’! I really miss living there. Not today, exactly, but in a general sense.
As a former resident of Moscow, I can assure you that the streets flood with ANY kind of rain. The drainage system across huge swathes of that city are just not capable of dealing with any kind of water.
