Having spent a healthy portion of the past couple of years (all in fall and winter) in Remote Alaska villages, this is heartwarming but also not surprising. What they did was fantastic, and I can see all of the villages I visited pulling together in the same way.

It’s all the more strange because without as much traffic, we’ve all been able to get places more easily. Why push it to 20, 25, and more mph over the speed limit when you’re already making better time than normal?

She’ll do it, too. I know it’s just my opinion, but I think she’s the greatest athlete right now.

I am with you on non-black interiors. Literally anything but black, but preferably something bright, airy... With so many cars having smaller and smaller windows, all-black makes them feel like a tomb.

I love this so much. It reminds me of when I got my first two cars — both VW Beetles. The one I actually drove (a ‘73 Super Beetle) needed and engine rebuild, and the first time we did it, it took a few weekends as my dad showed me every part, explained how it worked, and we put it all back together again.

The one thing I see missing from all of these color choices are two- and three-tone earth tones. Like, a brown/cream combo would be nice (I mean this sincerely).

My Audi (muuuuuuuuuuuuuch older) did not have it, and I don’t remember if my ‘02 Golf did.

Despite being a fan of Studebaker, I’ve never been a fan of the Lark.

“When this baby hits LXXXVIII miles per hour, you’re going to see some serious shit.”

Like the current Peugeot 508 cluster, which has at least some choices. I’d really like to see something like that. The “spinning barrel” mode is so French and wonderful.

I feel like that overhead shot of the front has some Noble in it, too. This looks fantastic!

As a fellow DC resident, I absolutely believe this.

Yep, I would agree. Our ‘89 had the same grille (logo in the middle); our ‘94 had the Ford Logo in the upper third of the grille. The very earliest ones had the egg grate grille.

I had forgotten about that commercial and, yes, like that.

That BMW looks sweet, and I feel like the VW and Honda could work with some minor tweaks.

My ‘73 Super Beetle’s fuel gauge would should 3/4 full when it was entirely full to the brim, but I had no idea if the bottom end was true or not. So I was on my way to the gas station after school and the car just cut off. That was it, no more. Turns out, the empty portion of the fuel gauge worked perfectly.

It is, but it seemed like there was confusion in the comments and I was trying to clarify.

Do you mean like this?

Sadly, cab-over trucks are few and far between in the US.
