I remember when I received the magazine with this car on the cover. Man, did I love it. It was even better in person. The design is very much of its time, which is to say not universal, but it’s still a great looking car.

There are definitely some cars in my family that the mere mention of will bring tears of regret or nostalgia.
I would gladly burn the five days to travel across the country. Part of the fun is the journey!
Almost anything with selective yellow headlights is going to be a nice price in my book.
As a proud owner of a footlong open-heart surgery scar, I have to say that I hope Ryan gets whatever he wants. I understand he wants reliable, but I’m in the exact opposite camp. My ticker is great, so why not go for something that, well, isn’t? Something British, or Italian, or even Soviet?
Anything in Phrygian Dominant Mode can be badass driving music.
“KSNT News news says this may all come to a head soon, as McDonald is expected to confront a number of traffic-related citations in court in the coming months—citations which could ultimately cause her to lose her license.”
Audi is finally embracing the stereotypical driver they’ve worked so hard to create over the past two decades.
VA/MD/DC, it doesn’t matter. Does it have a little Ü sticker in the rear side window? That person is a terrible driver.
Yup. Lessons learned (it was a Golf, incidentally, because I’m practical enough for a hatchback but not practical enough to buy something sensible like a Mazda, lol).
I’m only an inch taller, but an extra 30 pounds... still not a big guy, or I didn’t think so. It’s just the seat squab.
Insurance reasons? I don’t buy it, mainly because whoever can buy this damn car isn’t likely to be concerned about insurance costs.
I would say that if people do go look at them, the seats in the Bolt leave much to be desired. Now, I’m not the lightest I’ve ever been, but my waist is a not unreasonable 36in around. The Bolt’s seats are too narrow to be comfortable.
If only they were serious about their other cars, like the Golf or Jetta.
It’s clearly a huge thing. I just like something to look like it was all designed together, rather than a hodgepodge of various parts or like it’s aftermarket-but-not-made-for-your-car.
OMG yes
Same. It was a huge factor in the purchase of our family’s latest addition. Everything that had a “tacked on” look was disqualified. Make it look like it’s part of the car.
Also, wouldn’t this have a Malibu face, not a Camaro? It’d be more believable (but still, duh).
I grew up in Atlanta and had just arrived at my mom’s house (after all day driving from DC). It was very exciting to watch on the news—something I’m only saying because no one was hurt.
Or up in the “frunk”?
