Don’t let the face fool you, she loves that damn costume. She’s been wearing it for the past two days because it’s basically a pillow. She’s just not happy her yard got usurped by skeletons and she can’t roll around eating sticks.

My husband as an assassin using the hidden blade to scratch our dog.

Would you kindly leave a 20% tip?

This scientist is laughing at whoever insisted that it’s calorie in = calorie out to you. Dude, you have no damn idea how complicated your metabolism is. It’s so amazing we’ve barely scratched the surface of how it all works, never mind the genes to control it all. But sure calories in = calories out. Cling to that

He celebrated in the time honored tradition of if a man does it (has a private email) it’s okay, but if a woman does it “burn her at the stake!” I think that’s in the constitution bible.

I have no idea where you’re getting your dress size info but BWHAHAHAHAHA! No. Just no. Not even close to true. I am a bit taller and close to that weight but a size 14-16.

Why would it matter if the people at a funeral in the background are all tinier than the dead person? That’s a really weird rule.

Maybe it’s the ghost of a bear who’s trying to get at the tasty honey hidden inside. It’d pissed that there’s only stupid homework in the one locker it can open so kicks the sign in rage.

It’s an excuse they can keep using over and over.

I’ve realized something. Whenever men get into a huff, stomp their feet, and scream Not All Men they’ve done the same shit others are accused of. They’ve harassed or attacked women, and they hate the idea that anyone might call them on it. They’d rather keep living in a world where men get a free pass for anything. So

I feel bad for people that really do think “Don’t judge a book by its cover” because that’s a lot of what readers judge by. And also how to get marketing. You have to have a good cover or places will flat out turn you down.

I probably should have mentioned before that they’re for sale here.

I probably should have mentioned they’re for sale here, but I’m willing to do a few on commission cheaper if I have the time. It’s a lot of fun to make them.

I’ve been making off the rack book covers for anyone to use and for some of them I wish the book already existed, especially the dragon in coffee one.

I do a lot better with cool colors I’ve found, but I’ve done a couple more fallish ones over the years.

Thanks! Trees on acrylic is what I can handle, so I went back to my wheelhouse.

For my birthday my husband got me a hobby box that every month sends you stuff to try out new hobbies and a few instructions. This month’s was watercolor. I do acrylic painting but never really tried watercolor outside of grade school. There were my first two attempts.

It’s something Neil Gaiman started awhile ago, basically where you give kids books for halloween instead of treats. We get way too many for that to be feasible, but a lot of other people attempt it. Lots of schools and libraries will have small stands featuring their favorite scary stories and the like.

I finished the posters I made for All Hallows Read this year. It became a thing I started 7 years ago because I love halloween and books. Now, every year I dust off my old photoshop to make free ones for librarians and teachers.

This movie was like someone had a spec script for a pair of murderous teenagers, then the studio bought up the rights to Death Note and slammed the two together. It was Twilight with a shikigami.
