Shit, I imagined a group of prisoners being led slowly blinking out into the wild wild woods of Connecticut* while a prison warden whispers “you’re free”. Imagine my confusion.

While the headline is totally truthful, it’s also somewhat misleading on an initial read. When I hear of prisoners being released, I think that means from prison all together. Sure, they were released from death row and put back into regular prison, but surely there’s a better phrasing for that?

God, I hated this movie. MAJOR MAJOR END SPOILER WARNING: The end reveal is framed as “poor Jason Bateman/karma” rather than the absolutely fucked up reality of the wife, who was arguably nothing but sweet to the fucking creep. Ugh. Hated it. Also all the monkey imagery was dumb.

There’s a terrific scene in The Skeleton Twins (excellent movie, but NOT the comedy the trailer made it out to be) where the Bill Hader character is talking about looking up his worst bully on Facebook, expecting the dude to be miserable, but he’s married with kids and has a great job, and Bill Hader says something

I guess since she’s an elected official, it’s not as simple as her supervisor firing her. She’d have to be removed from office somehow.

The important point here is that you can use “that’s against my religion” to justify LITERALLY ANYTHING.

I am so fucking sick of these government hatin’ conservatives that hog government jobs. Off to the private sector with you, ya cretins!

Imagine Bill Cosby as the log

You say that as if he has the capacity to feel guilt or shame. A man who has raped this many women does not.

ALSO! LET’S DO MORE FACT CHECKING!

So...you’re pro-choice. But you don’t want poor or rural women to have access to abortions? Like, at all? Or low cost female health providers?

Mine looked like a one eyed heroin addict.

And thus Marco Rubio is proven wrong. Bet he didn’t see THAT coming!

I wish US universities got excited about historical documents.

K.

It’s a pretty epic fuckup but she could’ve had an abortion. Selective yet rigid adherence to certain religious beliefs is why she is in this predicament now. Just saying. The church is against birth control too, ain’t it?

The sexual assault thing seems to give credibility to the myth of the ‘stranger rape’ but if it does reduce sexual assault by even a tiny % it seems worth it? I don’t know. Seems like a kind of silly way to pretend you are dealing with sexual assault and an equally silly thing to complain about.

“And then, when I went back to school, the parasites went away and never came back.”

Try convincing someone with a psycho-somatic disease that what they believe to be physical is all in their head when they can feel it, see it, and smell it. It is literally part of the symptomology, they believe it is physical.
