Exactly. Her thought process on this isn’t in line with the “New Black” rhetoric and people are jumping over it because SHE’S the one who said it. Had Aisha Tyler said it on The Talk, no one would have batted an eye.

“It sucks to pick between two civil rights leaders...”
Why is it a Fuck You if she wants a different Black lady on a $20 bill?
I *think* she meant that Harriet Tubman’s story is of a different era, it’s too far removed from modern iterations of anti-racist struggle and activism, and that Rosa Parks’ story is closer (in both time and context) to contemporary struggles.
She’s saying:
What would make you think that? Is it the borderline obsession with her underlying the whole scheme, the obvious megalomania, and a desire to remove his entire family from any kind of government oversight?
In conclusion: yes, all white people.
If your willingness to fight racist power structures is based on the level your feelings have been hurt by people who are literally being killed, you are more a part of the problem than you think.
My friend, you do know that part of understanding the existing state of the world is understanding how we came to be in this place in the world? You cannot do that without addressing the past. I appreciate your idealism in wanting to move beyond racism but saying that no one on alive on this planet caused the current…
And bingo was his name-o!
I know we’ve never met but I think maybe I love you? This is a wonderful (and easy to understand) break down of a complex issue. I can think of about 50 people I would like to share this with. One billion points for you today!
Yeah, the arguments just keep getting more predictable. I almost pity them while they just reveal themselves more and more to be an idiotic, angry, blind, privileged ass. No. No, I don’t.
“I didn’t do a single thing you just mentioned”
“We’re not paying that much money to have black people live in the building.” If it’s white tenants only, it’s clean. I know it’s a little bit racist...
This response is beautiful and incredibly gracious.
I wish I could star this a hundred times.
“Im just here to help you understand”
Hey inbred moron “reverse racism” isn’t a fucking thing.
