No I agree. We have to stop this shit. In this case the business owner was super apologetic, fired someone and everything. They are not the bad guy here. Everyone is a victim here except that asshole server. Sue them or no one, imo. The overlaps with Black issues here are pretty clear I think. Yeah, it just diminishes

Dude, rly? This is clearly a bigotry issue in general. I would also remind you that the slur on the check was 'gay bitches' so I'm pretty sure this is in the gay wheelhouse. But for real, what part about my analysis exactly is incorrect specifically due to my not saying I'm trans?

Ugh what a touchy situation. Here's my lesbian chef two cents. I think this is one of those situations where that disclosure of perspective is relevant.

Can we just start saying 'straight women' when we mean straight women only? Because I'm getting pretty tired of assumed heteronormativity on this site.

She has a line of DOG FOOD??!

Dude this show was a fucking joke. Yeah her 'tax and tip' amt was pathetic and often she would suggest ordering off the menu in that fucked up 'a little of this and that' way that both of us have said is bullshit on numerous occasions. Duck Rachel Ray.

I am late to the party, but I still have have two things to say:

I strongly feel this comment would hold far less weight if the quote were in context...

I think its interesting and important to note that these are large cities within rather unwelcoming larger areas. I'm sure it's the same in the states, but in Ontario, you see a LOT of lgbt people from other areas moving into the city because it is seen as more welcoming. So more lgbt people show up all the time and

The social commentary being made in the show with Suzanne's character is being perfectly illustrated by the mainstreams inability to see her as anything other than 'crazy eyes'. It's upsetting how this is lost on people.

THIS! I have absolutely no idea how one could watch that whole show and still call her crazy eyes! How little empathy do people have, really? Way to miss the point. The point is that you go into the show having simplistic stereotypical ideas about everyone (like Piper does) in there and your personal skewed views are s

We have synced up somehow. I also wrote about bullied lgbt kids today!

"I was once suspended from work for a week for telling a customer that ordering their Tuna Steak Sandwich well done was "ruining a perfectly good piece of fish" "

It so nice to see everyone rallying around this little boy in female coded clothing!

Haha yeah. I'm a chef. Good on you for noticing. Industry people notice, others think its about drugs or something. :)

This is the single best restaurant article I have ever read in my life.

I really hope your mom sees this and it makes her day. What an amazing gift for the day.

Where exactly do you see bi hatred? No one hates bisexuals here, in fact I'm defending many of them here There is a very respectable bisexual with a very long and intelligent commenting history in this thread right now arguing the same thing I am. Regardless, I challenge you to find any negative language against

The question was written by Gallup, not by Autostraddle, first of all. It represents the first time Gallup, after asking for years and years and years about those scary 'others' the homosexuals, finally realizes the person they are talking to might be homosexual. The fact that Gallup figured out that bisexuals and
