You may or may not be surprised to hear that that paragraph was added in after these complaints had been both read and dismissed. Notice this entire thread no longer appears in the comments, Erin dismissed the whole thing and then tacked on that paragraph. It's all very distasteful and dishonest in my opinion.

I know right? Way to throw the rest of us under a bus. I wrote a whole post about it and quoted you at the end. I hope you don't mind.

haha thanks, but I'm taken. :)

Really? Cause I don't care. But you just proved my own point.

Yup pretty much. I explained the difference between your bald head and a society that expresses disgust at women's hair. If you still refuse to see it you are both blind and a tremendously privileged asshole.

I choose to contribute.

They do. It's important to realize there are two issues here: The sexism and circle jerk of the press (which makes or breaks hot restaurants) and the kitchen's themselves.

Millions of this. I've been freaking out all over boards over this shit. I cannot believe Amanda Cohen straight up said the boy's club is not a thing. ARGH!

Thank you! I was losing my mind thinking I was the only one who hated her response. It's just awful.

What? No. No. No.

Look at this guy! Fuck what is he like 24??

Thanks, yeah my first comment was awfully snarky, but I guess I assumed people would understand what I was saying, but I guessed wrong!

To be fair (to you), you work in special ed. You are not patronizing by the fact that you obviously care enough to do it all the time and make it a thing.

Its okay. Ive dealt with some pretty severe mental illness myself and my mother is in a wheelchair. I guess I'm just trying to say that one persons 'sweet' act is another's patronizing.

Okay good for you then. My opinion is opposite and since you asked, I have explained my position. I have what I feel to be very good reasons for how I feel. I'm sure you do too. There is no need to swear and be a jerk.

"Hamilton's opinion on how she lives her life fits right in with what we know about female behavior in many fields; that they keep their heads down, do good work and don't seek the praise that, in the culinary industry for example, male chefs, many of whom are considered highly egotistical, do."

First off (not to offend you either), Jesus did that all the time, every day and in the face of incredible pressure to stop. He was in fact, killed for it. Far from being similar to this situation (in which Beyonce is being lauded by pretty much everybody and encouraged to do more), he was given no reward in this

I'm just going to reprint my same reply to another. I hope you don't mind. My response to you is the same anyway:

Matthew 6:2
