Rest well sir.  From Kelly’s Heroes, to Love Boat, you were great to watch.  Hope you’re feeling all those positive waves.

i was in a community theatre production once here on cape cod (where he had a house) with a woman who was a friend of his. during one performance, i looked out in the audience & there was murray/the captain sitting in the front row!  totally threw me off!

Aw man, he was the best. Shows what a great actor he was that he created these two completely different characters, back to back. When I was a kid I don’t think I even realized Captain Stubing was Murray Slaughter. I don’t know who else had a career like that. A huge presence in our tv viewing in the 70s and 80s.

This makes me think of something that happened to me on a plane a few years ago. Before the flight I was scrolling through the movie options to decide what I would like to watch. I came across Deadpool which I had not seen yet and decided on that. Shortly thereafter a 7-8 year old girl sat next to me, and her mother

It is a fantastic movie with (in my opinion) a terrible ending. My wife and I watch it every Thanksgiving after the kids are in bed. The ending always feels like such a downer after all of the hilarity that precedes it.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles” is an absolutely fantastic movie. Criminally underrated by many people. It is so much more than Martin’s fantastic tirade.

I saw that movie in the theater as a teen. Me and a buddy were talking before the movie, using R-rated language, not noticing that the guy in front of us had his kid with him. His about 6-year old kid. At an R-rated movie. We mostly didn’t notice the kid because his head was way below the seat level.

She never made the six...

How FUNNY that white people are the only ones who ever make money off all of this supposed “cultural exchange!”

Everybody online shits on the Oscars so hard it makes me an Oscars defender simply because of the over the top nature of everyone’s complaints.

Honestly this is one of those films I’ve decided up-front that I’ll love. The dialogue could literally be “rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb” and I’ll probably lap it up for the furniture alone.

Every time I see a post about Lea Michele I reminded of the time she was on the red carpet for one of the premieres of American Horror Story and Jessica Lange totally ignored her as she walked by and in the moment you can see in Michele’s eyes her very soul leave her body.

I remember when Sarah Hyland made fun of Lea for the way she poses on the red carpet. Sarah was on with Joan Rivers after an award show and she demonstrated how if you stand with your shoulders hunched forward it makes you look thinner or something.

She’s just living her authentic life. She’s an entitled racist asshole and dammit she wants the world to embrace her for it!

JJ swooping in like Captain Hindsight there.

I think Samantha should still be a character but she’s always, like, in the bathroom or on the phone or “you just missed her.” Make it a running gag.

The premiere of the show was on the night my then girlfriend (now wife) and I had a rather large fight. She’d gone into our bedroom and put on the tv in there, a little 13 inch black and white, and I sat and watched tv in the living room.

I wonder how many new Daves Bruce has met in the past 25 years.
