Yeah, I was listening to that. He wanted to cover the final $500,00 himself.

Jose Ramirez’s day:
Welcome to the land, Mr. Thomas!!!! #byerie
They even put up the sequence of events on the scoreboard at the Indians game tonight between innings and everyone in the crowd audibly groaned for Hill. As the college kids who sent Harvey Haddix all those years ago said: “tough shit.”
I about lost my mind in the stands:
I’m a CLE fan, so maybe I’m a little biased, but the Boston fan in the red hat by the pole trying to claim an obviously fair ball was foul is so typical.
HEY. THOSE ARE THE INDIANS’ HOT DOGS. HOW DARE YOU CONFLATE OUR HOT DOG MASCOTS WITH THE WHITE SOX.
Ahhh, good point.
As a CLE fan who’s sad we’re out of the running for him, any particular reason he’d block a trade to us? Personal reasons? (I see Cleveland jokes coming in response to this.)
That was simultaneously the most bizarre and glorious game I’ve been to all season.
Cleveland fan here who’s still a little uneasy about our rotation... any chance at all we take a shot at him for another title run this year?
I totally agree with you. I should have been clearer and said “seem nitpick-y to the runner and/or their fans.”
Runner appears to have unfortunately forgot that umpires will make game-changing (and correct) calls that might seem nitpick-y even on the biggest stage:
Thurman Munson once purposely dropped 3 Ks just to get 3 assists to take the lead on Carlton Fisk.
Now I’m hoping all the more that Net Neutrality doesn’t get taken away. Cable companies will stomp this dead if it does.
Funny thing is, probably 80% of fans at games avoid Wahoo apparel now, with the other 20% being the “let me flaunt my ignorance/racism” crowd that you’ll never convince anyway. Even most fans seem to be on board with getting rid of it (thank goodness).
It was pretty sickening in person; I haven’t seen a couple baseball players stay down that long in quite a while.
Hi, I’m an Indians season ticket holder and ultra-fan, and I want the logo gone. The whole idea that all of Cleveland’s true fans are behind the logo is definitely not true.
Here’s Hammy’s call :)
Sure, anything you’re particularly interested in?
