No problem. The only thing to be aware of is that there’s a bike/ped path that runs parallel to the route and crosses over it several times. The crossings are well-marked, though.

I can vouch for 271, although the Henrico part is usually choked with traffic. The few really drivable roads left in Henrico (the eastern part of the county, mostly) have lots of cyclists on them now, so you have to take care on them.

Yeah, I’m south of Richmond. When you get past Petersburg it gets rural very quickly. Prince George and Dinwiddie in particular have lots of great back roads, and there are still some here in Chesterfield, but the ever-increasing Richmond sprawl is encroaching on that. The major freeways (95, 85, 295, 288, 64) still…

It gets lost in the discussion about the traffic laws, but there are LOTS of great driving roads here, many of them seldom patrolled. More for me, I guess.

Yeah, I’m right at the southern edge of metro Richmond. 10 minutes in any direction other than north lands me in the sticks.

It’s also a southern Virginia thing. I know a few people that like them, but I haven’t tried one, nor do I want to.

Had he lived, I imagine Honda wouldn’t be in the rut it is now from an enthusiast standpoint.
