Go home Honda, you’re drunk.

Thanks!

I’m doing an OEM+/restomod on my 2001 Prelude. So far I’ve taken parts from a few junked 5th gens for it, and going to look at another next week.

Is “restomod” a theme? Because that’s what mine is. I know it’s odd already having to restore a vehicle built in the 21st century, but hey.

Agreed. The S-spec would also be a good choice, just a bit harder to find. They’re pretty similar and either one would be a good companion to my H23 VTEC swapped base model. The S-spec has the same black leather interior as the Type S, from the few I’ve seen for sale.

*promptly falls asleep*

Not yet. But I want to import a Honda Prelude Type S when they become legal to do so starting in 2021. It is, essentially, the ST twin of the late 90s.

Mid-80s Hondas were a different animal than newer ones. I’ve owned 3rd, 4th, and 5th gen Preludes, and just from looking under the hood of 1st and 2nd gens in the junkyard I knew I’d be out out my league with one.

It really is. From what I could tell it was just wheels and maybe aero, and the Brabus badge. Probably an engine upgrade too, to get it to like 90 HP.

I saw one of those at work the other day. If not for the TRD badge I wouldn’t have realized it wasn’t a regular Camry.

“What do these pills do? WHAT DO THESE PILLS DO?!?!”

Beat me to it.

More like these, please.

If one catches on fire, is it a fried Koenigsegg?

In case anyone cares...

The Richmond media loves to point out that Hamlin is a local product, so I expect tomorrow’s Richmond paper to have at least the entire first page dedicated to the win. (Tongue only slightly in cheek.)

Both are played out.

I’m OK with not being able to buy this

Forty-seven thousand one hundred ninety dollars!

Yeah, this. My 5th gen Prelude has a good exhaust on it and it sounds somewhere between tolerable and decent, even at low RPMs.
