MOOOOOOO-gen.
MOOOOOOO-gen.
The music site Discogs has a list of them. 147 for sale on the marketplace:
The only automatic Hondas I’ve owned were earlier Preludes, 2 3rd gens and a 4th gen. The 4th gen (1995) met a similar fate as your ‘98 hatch and was replaced with another 4th gen (1993) with a 5-speed and an F22. I still have it. The first 3rd gen had a mechanic sound drivetrain but everything else was falling apart.…
Even though it didn’t have a V6, you can add the 5th gen Prelude to that list. The 97-98s were particularly bad, but the 99-01s also commonly have autotragic transmission failures, especially if you used the manual shift mode. At least there was a stick available on the Prelude, unlike the others.
The last Civic I found attractive was the 8th gen. I liked the Accord until the 2016 refresh.
As were the ones from the 6th gen V6 Accord, 2nd gen TL/CL, and 5th gen Prelude. Not a good time for Honda autoboxes and you couldn’t pay me to own even a new Honda without a clutch pedal. I still occasionally mistype “SportShift” without the F.
I saw a couple of them out and about yesterday. I think they’ve aged fairly well. A guy on a Prelude forum I frequent has one for a DD, and will occasionally post about how complex it is to work on the Z.
JDM Hondas, even models that were sold elsewhere, are so much more interesting than their overseas counterparts. I’d love to own a Prelude SiR S-Spec or 6th generation Accord SiR-T or Euro-R.
Virginia’s is called I-264.
Honda has for years, yes. They may still import from the US too. Certainly so once NSX production finally gets going.
Deposing/ousting Brian France would be a good start.
Honda did it for a few years in the mid-late 90s with the Accord and Inspire (what they called the infamous 2nd gen Acura TL).
A total of four Land Cruisers will be delayed.
The channel switching actually looks a little less complicated than last year, if I remember correctly. Still irritating though.
My first car was a 1991 Honda Prelude Si that had not been well-kept. Unlike my current 3rd gen, it was an automatic. The interior was in good shape, but the previous owner had replaced some things and, well, let’s say he’d done a bad job. The radiator fans didn’t work so if I left the car running in place for long…
Those two things at the bottom of the front of the car look like exhaust tips at first glance.
My first experience with it was at a popular local restaurant. I had two of them back to back, having had nothing to eat all day. Needless to say I got pretty sloshed pretty quickly. The waitress wanted to slap me. Didn’t throw up, at least.
