Not Your Father’s Root Beer is really good and starting to become common around here (Richmond). It’s not from a local brewery so I assume it’s available elsewhere in the country.

I didn’t buy it because, at the time, I had plenty of beer. I’ll most likely get some for my birthday/Super Bowl party next weekend.
My first car was a 1991 Si with an automatic. My current 3rd gen with a 5-speed is more fun, but the automatic wasn’t that bad. Certainly more reliable than the ones on the 4th and 5th gens.
In mid-late 2012 when I was looking for a replacement for my wrecked 4th gen, I wanted a 5th gen but they were all out of my price range at the time, $5-6000 except for the occasional high miler for $3500. Today $3500 is, at least around here, on the high end for them. Most of them are under $3000 and neglected. I got…
It does! It runs for exactly 15 minutes no matter how long he car has been running before you cut it off. Before I owned the car, it was my dad’s, and it initially would start to overheat when left running stationary for awhile. After some research he determined that the fan runs off some sort of box that you wouldn’t…
The 4th generation Prelude had electronic 4-wheel steering. It was prone to failure and after a couple years it was dropped from the US. They offered it all the way to the end of production in Japan and Europe though.
You’re correct. The 4WS was optional on 1990 and 1991 2.1 Si’s, and 1988 and 1989 2.0Si’s. ABS (called “ALB” by Honda at the time) was also an option on 90-91 Si’s, but you couldn’t get both on the same car in the US. I have a 1991 Si ALB.
I’ve thought about importing an INX from Japan now that they’re 25, but they’re all $5000 or more and it was only sold with an automatic.
I have one of these. Same year, same color exterior, with the rarer tan interior and a spare set of the optional white wheels. I’ve been keeping it my garage for over a year now waiting for it to turn 25 so I can put antique plates on it. Come spring it’s coming out of hibernation and going to a few Cars & Coffees.
I’m fairly new to the site, only started reading in late 2014 and commenting middle of last year. I do notice there are pun threads every now and then. A group of them even won COTD last week.
Your post is fit to be a prelude to more bad Honda puns. Maybe I’ll inspire some more. Or maybe everyone else will be too jaded to continue. Either way my post is pretty integral. That’s all I have.
Needs more misspelled words.
My coworker wisely left her S2K in the parking lot when she left. I don’t know why she didn’t get a ride this morning too, but whatever.
Meanwhile, down here in suburban Richmond, I unfortunately had to go out in the snow because work and, minding my own business taking it slowly, nearly got sideswiped by an E36, which was driving like it wasn’t even snowing. Eventually I made it to I-95, where traffic was mostly sane, except for the one Sentra that…
Aside from the obvious (RS200), I’ll take one of the Sierras.
Yeah, that one. I figured it was most likely Canada.
So...going by this, the 90s would be the sweet spot then. Awesome, I’m set.
It’s an old picture...3 years and an ex-girlfriend ago. I’ll leave it at that...
