I have 3, one each of a 3rd, 4th, and 5th gen. All 5-speeds, all black. My DD/beater is a 1993 S with the original F22 and some mods. It’s been broken down since November due to not cranking. I’m still working on the issue.

I’m used to some torque steer so that didn’t really bother me. The only thing I really found infuriating was the stupid reverse gear mechanism. Also it wasn’t terribly exciting, but that’s a concession I typically make of new cars. Most of the cars I plan to drive for the first time in 2016 are 15+ years old.
Yeah, I will admit it wasn’t as exciting as I’d hoped, but that’s typical of modern cars and is why I’m building a 15-year-old car to hang with it instead.
The only other car I drove aside from my own Preludes was a 350Z. It was OK.
Best car: my friend’s FoST. It set the benchmark for what I want to do with my project car (turbo aside) and it’s very plausible.
If the base Civic hatch looks exactly like that picture, with the grille black instead of chrome, I’ll like it. It also depends on the taillights. I don’t like how the taillights look on the sedan. The chrome grille Honda is doing now also bothers me. I thought the pre-2016 Accord looked quite good in 4-door form, but…
I have a 1991 Prelude Si in my garage that I’m working on getting back on the road as well. It runs and drives, but it needs some minor stuff (new oil seals, mostly) and I’m working on ordering the parts. Come springtime it should be done and I’ll get antique plates for it.
Hold on, need to take a selfie!
I hope you’re right about Honda starting to get with it again, but I’ve seen several 2016 Accords and a handful of 2016 Civics in the wild, and they ain’t good-looking up close. Especially the Civic.
I like that blue they used. It reminds me of the Electron Blue Pearl color that was used 15 years ago on the Prelude and Civic Si.
A starting point for a much less terrible project.
Remove the stancebro parts and we’ll talk. CP.
Fun fact*: Her name was Alissa Driver until her indoctr...um, first year of college.
Yeah, I’d be surprised if it’s still stock.
What color is it, may I ask? I’ve seen some early 8th gens in the pre-refresh blue (Fiji Blue I think) that had paint issues, like clear coat peeling off and fading paint.
There’s a burgundy S13 hatch down the street from me. The owner (who I believe is the second one) never drives it anymore. It isn’t officially for sale, but the owner has asked me in the past if I or anyone I know would be interested in it. I passed since it’s an automatic (and I was beginning a project when she…
Mine was my brother’s 2000 Civic DX with a slushbox. I drove it once, to take it to get inspected for him. I’m never complaining about my Prelude’s understeer again. The Civic, despite having less weight up front, understeered even worse, and I didn’t even remotely drive it hard. It was awful.
I used to want an 8th gen Si. Then I test drove one.
