The 924 was lighter than the 944, I do know. The later 924s with the bigger engines were probably the best of both worlds. There’s a 1988 for sale on my local Craigslist, but something’s wrong with its transmission. There’s also a running 924 Turbo in an ugly color.

The 240SX. When they were sold here they were pedestrian coupes that didn’t sell well (especially the S14), but now they’re popular with drifters.

I imagine they’re pretty hard to find, and the 6-speed even more so. This will be a few years down the road, regardless, since I don’t have the room right now. I just know I want a pre-Cayman water-cooled Porsche for my next project car. I’m still researching which one would be best for me.

Scratch that, the place has 2 944s and I got them confused. The S is a manual 1987, and the automatic 1985 has a clear title. I was editing my previous post but hit the time limit before I finished.

Yeah, that’s a tough call. Those automatics were 3-speeds, right? There’s a salvage title 1985 944S not too far from me for $1500, but it’s an automatic, advertised as a 3-speed. I’m just getting into Porsches, so I’m still learning which cars of the time period had how many gears.

I do too, and I’ve had to stop myself from inquiring about it. The interior looks trashed, but that’s to be expected and I’d gut it anyway. I’d also try to find a 3.0 and 6-speed from a 968 to swap into it.

In suburban *ominous music* Virginia.

That $900 running 924 on my local Craiglist is looking better and better (if it’s still there). Wish I had the spare money and room in the driveway/garage for it, but I already have 3 cars that need some work as is.

Even though C30s and C32Bs were pretty rare, I’m surprised there haven’t been more swap attempts into lesser Hondas.

(Hopelessly late to the party)

If by “somewhere” you mean the Southern Hemisphere, yes.

Yeah, I’d like to go to the USGP at some point. Right now it isn’t financially plausible unless I sell one of my cars to pay for it, and I’d rather not do that. Plus there are other places *coughEuropecough* I’d rather visit first.

Still wet. Still working. CEL came on on the way to work so I need to diagnose that later. Also need to get groceries and get some oil so I can do an oil change next weekend when I’m actually off.

Merry Christmas. I didn’t wake up with a 968 in my driveway or a [redacted] in my bed, but I did ge a new header, as well as some cash which is partially going towards car parts. So it was a pretty good Christmas morning for me.

This isn’t even low-hanging fruit. This is fruit that’s already been picked off the tree and is in the produce section at the grocery store.

Yeah, there are some good ones. The air-cooled 911s are my other favorites.

+1 for the Prius for the sheep. I was torn between that and a crossover.

E30 M3 for the donkey. Because, well, you know.
