Few questions maybe someone can answer here that I’m having some problems getting (I realize with the nature of this show that maybe I’m not supposed to get this shit in any completely literal way, so if I’m looking too deeply where I shouldn’t be, then so be it):

Fifty Shades of Meh

I like how dickish you and the others have been with your responses, as if I said it’s a FACT that men are more drawn to movie making than women. I specifically tossed out if any of you, who might know more than me, would have something more concrete than anecdotal shit (which is what I typed, knowing I could be

At the risk of starting a shit show of a thread, is there something inherently weird about the fact that there is that divide between that many men and women nominated?

Of course I do. I was schooled in the American public educational system!

So you weren’t of age in ‘95, but were in ‘97?

Pff. This is probably bullshit. I don’t buy any company is this dumb.

I should have been photographed on there in all my stylin glory, because back in 95, I was an EARLY adopter of the “Every logo from the NBA on one jacket” style.

Talking about overextended names is the yeast of Ben and Jerry’s cookie dough problems.

**pulls out 9mm pistol and points it at Thrown Roe; smiles at Thrown Roe as he pulls out uzi and points it in opposite direction; Thrown Roe smiles back; two of us have tea and discuss how different we are, yet how similar; all of a sudden...

Wasn’t this sort of the point of the third one? That Kratos has clearly went so far off the rails he has went to a point where, even if he does get the revenge he wants, whatever world is around him won’t be worth living in anyway?

Hey, look at how easy it is for me to quote things a few comments up from this comment, but in this case actually do it correctly:

Explain why.

How benign? You never assumed Indian people would be made fun of based off his character before?

No. I literally just said I already knew. This is a site full of commenters who have quoted that show for years, never mentioned one word of Apu as being racist, and are now up in arms about the entire concept of his character.

Exactly.

Like most people, I always knew Apu was a stereotype. He shares that aspect of his character like almost 100% of every other person on The Simpsons. It’s a giant part of the show.

Out of curiosity, Were you always offended by Apu, or did Kondabolu’s doc just recently change how you feel?

The hand drawn awfulness of some of the best seasons (I’d say the ratio of shittylooking to working with the comedy was at its height in season five) added shitloads of charm to that.

Us from the ‘jects made that shit what it was.
