I've been mystified by their trailing on data analytics—there is no inherent reason for it, even given that people with advanced math backgrounds tilt blue. So Dems shouldn't count on it forever.

Actual theory I read this week:

I literally think there was nothing at all that she could have done that would not be criticized as obviously the wrong thing if she knew she would run for office, because maybe it could look bad to her enemies.

I think there's been a genuine shift over the past decade in the assumed smoke-fire correlation. When Kerry was swiftboated, there was a lot of "there wouldn't be smoke if there wasn't something burning there." After a decade of both left and right proclaiming "Negative labeling! We must define the enemy before they

That's one I want them to just come back and redo from scratch, after removing memory of the first one. Because the concept is GREAT—simple to explain yet with the possibility for so many small and large stories to unfold—but making it the world's most ludicrous conspiracy just dragged everything down.

I seem to be the only person who really liked the little 10 minute "Veronica as FBI trainee" clip at the end of S3. I would have watched the hell out of that show.

That second one is weird. "I have this new thing I'd like to try with my very casual sex partner. How much of the requisite equipment cost are they on the hook for?"

Every advice letter is hypothetical to either all but one person, or to everyone.

It was like a weird collision of several letters. Which usually means the writer should break up already.
• He sets up the idea of different backgrounds making it harder to understand each other, but then that proves irrelevant.
• She cheated on him.
• And then blamed it on him.
• She has a strong aversion to doing

Worth noting that last I heard, he has not filed the paperwork that would make those loans to his campaign donations.

And do not forget Cruz kid, who was eventually moved by the Republican approach to race to become a Bernie supporter.

Consider that his big domestic policy issue is changing the libel laws so that the media cannot criticize him in any manner he deems unfair.

I think better media deals was Plan A, moved to a backburner when he unexpectedly captured the nomination whilst also burning any chance of NBC re-upping his contract, for any amount of money.

He signed hats.

I disagree, bipartisanly: people requiring lots of security should not visit disaster areas mid-crisis and divert the local law enforcement to escorting them about—local law enforcement has plenty to do. Likewise local government and emergency officials should be working double shifts on the disaster, and not pausing

When we went to the Caribbean last summer, I eventually snorkeled in clothing that covered almost as much, because my nordic complexion was losing to the equatorial sun no matter how much sunscreen I rubbed on.

Politiico has the July spending numbers for Trump's campaign.

He's managed to go a week without committing sedition or treason. (Not a sentence I expected to be writing about a major party nominee a year ago.) But I still think he changed the game—he's working to break out with his political followers as an aggrieved third party/media conglomerate. The 10% chance he wins the

It's such naked desperation.

Also suggests part of why the taxes are the sole issue on which he cannot be trolled. "I owe $200 million to Russia" doesn't quite fit with the theory "I am not bought and paid for (by US economic interests) like those other politicians."
