I legitimately enjoyed Mitch McConnell's announced tactic that he was just not going to answer any questions about Trump for the next 5 months.

And is this tactic going to work? As a practical matter, I'm not seeing how it gives him actual negotiating power. I think he would have had more of that if he'd conceded before people's attention turned to the general.

As a reality-based matter, it's too late to get on the ballot in most states unless you run as the candidate of a party with ballot access in every state. And most states don't record or count write-in votes for president.

A couple of months back I sincerely hoped he would turn to downballot races as the actual way to drive forward the revolution he claims to want—the presidency is actually not all-powerful, no matter how many protesters you can arrange outside Mitch McConnell's window.
