I think that the timed depreciation of digital media is problematic and dissuades a lot of customers from making purchases, and I think that playing fast and loose with value can cause people to feel retroactively ripped off.

That's how things work, but it's not how they should work. I respect him for doing it this way instead.
Just watched the episode and immediately came to this review so I could complain about this. Just fucking egregiously dumb.
Objection: Counselor is testifying
Yeah, she's brilliant about marrying music and lyrics, so the desperation of that repeated line comes across powerfully. Its simplicity is what makes it raw, and it would lose its effect if it was a more complex lyric.
It's mine, too. It seems very gothic to me in instrumentation, lyrics, and song structures. Gives me chills. So many good songs. Her howling on The Mountain makes me weep out of a visceral fear response.
This was a great read; thank you.
Great review; love the closing paragraph about Kim as contrasted with the other protagonists and the image of the wake.
Oh man, that time Barry drew a bunch of circles on the whiteboard and told us to imagine that each of them was Earth, just a little different… what a completely useless illustration that was.
Fitz used the Flatland explanation! When I read Flatland as a teenager, I extrapolated exactly what he was saying in this episode about how time relates to us as three-dimensional beings. I loved that!
Such things can be written out when they serve an expressive function, and, when it's pointed like this, it's not a "stumble" at all. If this had been spoken aloud, the "err" would have been intentionally uttered as a way to draw attention to the dual meaning of "partner." So it's part of the expression, however an…
Even in an episode full of terrific shots, that long opening at the border inspection station was gorgeous!
"I wonder who those guys in hockey pads are."
I hate that Barry intentionally went back in time. I mean, he knows how stupid this is; I could have sworn he made a vow never to do it again or something. However, the result was a pretty fun and episode that was heavy on core story stuff for the show, so I can mostly get past it. But then I also didn't like the…
I don't really buy the second half of that. He expects Alicia to stay in a political marriage with him and not be free to have men she actually wants to be with come over to her own home? That's absurd.
Yeah, having a wealthy father turn up and embrace him out of the blue is the most obnoxiously contrived way to turn him into the eccentric wealthy kook he's destined to be. Another origin story mangled by this show.
Since when has Peter been under illusions that his continued marriage to Alicia is anything other than a political image? I'm sure that she made it clear to him seasons ago that she'll sleep with whomever she likes.
Barry and Kara both make the other more fun! And Winn makes a pretty decent Cisco, too. What a shame this was brought down by all that pouty James drama and the lame villains.
Whenever Neal McDonough isn't speaking, all the other characters should be asking, "What does Neal think?"
Yeah, Thea was really cute when she was pouting about how no one else knew about those dumb celebrity couples. She just seemed so hurt that her friends don't share her interests!
