What is going on with this season? I just can't get into it. Is it me? Have I changed?

I had no idea what to expect from Megan Fox of all people being on this show (and in Jess's place?!), but that worked really well. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes!
I did like how extremely pissed Kara was when she woke up.
I guess my problem with this show is best exemplified in the scene with Alex and the AI hologram of Kara's mom. Alex breaks out into this heartfelt confession of her regrets and her need to protect her sister, and it just seems so forced to me. All I can think as I watch this speech is "Why are you telling her…
lol that doctor checking Thea's pulse when there's a heart monitor right there
"There are reasons, but they don't matter […] I killed your brother." YES THEY DO MATTER EXPLAIN THAT YOU WERE DEFENDING YOURSELF IDIOT
I don't know Supergirl in the comics. Is she any more than a lame copy of Superman, or does she disguise herself at a news company and rehash the same villain ideas as Bizarro and For the Man Who Has Everything just like the TV show version? I guess I should stop expecting that something is going to happen with this…
I guess I'm in the minority, but I loved Alicia's breakdown. It completely makes sense to me, and it seems perfectly in line with her despondence and quiet anger over the last several episodes. I'll be honest; it made me tear up. Eli got to me at the end, too.
I read Relic when I was in my teens I think and found it awesome. Then I saw the movie and found that less awesome.
Yes, they seem to have what's known as an open marriage, so indeed this is basically the only way she could betray him.
Wait, I don't think Wide Wale wants Dr. Mrs. The Monarch to arch Venture WITH him; he just wants the exclusive arching rights. Because his new neighbor pissed him off already, probably, as evidenced by the jet destroying his windows. And giving The Monarch's exclusive arching rights to another villain is going to…
Oh, I really hope she's not a secret good guy. The audience already loves Christie, so it would be more interesting to have her be fully aligned with the villains.
I understand that every episode this season has been about dwelling upon or reliving the past—including the past of the show—but I hella don't know why. If there's a point, I haven't found it.
I can deal with a little of it (though it's better if there's none), but in this show it's just constantly visions of this and visions of that; non-stop deus ex machina, hand of the game designer reaching down and pointing everybody on towards their next quest, no internal motivation of any kind. And with the…
I'd been wondering about this, too. Thanks for explaining, Moonglum. (Too bad the show didn't.)
This series is built entirely around two devices, visions and the changeling, that I have absolutely no respect for because they let the writers do whatever they want without limits or rules. I can't be interested in a story like this because there's no ground beneath it.
How awkward was Malina petting her dying granddad's face?
I'd like to point out how cutting from Malina to Ren in the game was a disingenuously unjustifiable way to try to keep the tension alive because the two sets of action were taking place in completely different times.
When I saw the video thumbnail, for a long, horrible moment I thought that Mike's entry was going to be about April Ludgate.
I appreciate what they were going for here, but, aside from Charlie's confusion, this did not work for me.
