Wow! what a very varied yet nuanced list. You can definitely see which games and specifically which genres have left an impact on the culture a a whole. I am playing through Dark Souls Remastered for the first time & it is a blast! I can definitely see why the game earned its masochistic reputation but I honestly as well as personally never felt that the game cheats you from progress ( at least not yet, I haven’t...) but I suppose that my reflex, timing and instincts…
