So we can agree that the show is successful, but we have to part ways on the show being funny.

Doesn't it bug you that the show is utterly devoid of funny jokes, though?
The guy shouldn’t scream and curse at his tv, but he is raising a completely valid point. Nothing funny was said. No joke. Just some lazy references.
Everything you say is completely on point, but it doesn't make the show funny. Referencing stuff is not a substitute for an actual joke.
So you like the kind of humor where someone says something like: “I can’t get this can open! Even Wolverine from the Xmen wouldn’t be able to do this!”
Doesn't it bug you guys that the jokes are lazy and lame, though? I'm a nerd and I don't object at all to how nerds are portrayed, but the writing is just atrocious on that show.
Doesn’t it bug you that the punchline to every joke is extremely predictable and not clever?
I never go to Reddit and I hate the show. I couldn't care less about how it portrays nerds. I don't like it because the jokes are laziest, most surface-level crap, and not funny at all. Thank goodness there is the Office.
You are hitting the nail on the head when you talk about how damned lazy the jokes are.
You seem to agree with me then. You have rightfully pointed out that human government seems to be completely inadequate, and that’s why I said mankind obviously can't govern itself.
Mankind does seem completely unequipped to govern itself.
Usually lawsuits this frivolous and entitled only occur on the other side of the pond.
I'm starting to think she might be a demagogue.
She's still writing in that universe! She returned to it after the Dragon Keeper series.
I'll have to check those out. I loved her other stuff.
Lol, you know, I did a few times think to myself you’d make that connection one day. Alas, it isn't accurate; no matter how much I imitate him on Fridays!

I wish they would digitize them! Harlan always wrote very funny letters.
