Anyone who can’t last from April till summer doesn’t have their emergency fund in order. Those who do probably shouldn’t be putting this particular money in financial vehicles that won’t go into the retail economy until 5 to 40 years from now. They should either be donating it or spending it.

If we don’t have an immediate need and we have a decent emergency fund shouldn’t we consider being a little frivolous?  If this doesn’t drive us back towards our normal spending habits aren’t we just going to have to do this again long before my emergency fund dries up?

I’m a super heavy sleeper. I’d love to get up an hour or two earlier than I do, but if I push things too much I just end up waking with my biological clock with no clue whether my alarm sounded or not.  I won’t even groggily snooze it, I just sleep through it.
